Save Animals With Us.

The Lamb’s Haven was started by 2 best friends, Faith Mackey & Cassandra Ruby, who got very sick of “wanting” to help, but never being able to. The situation was never perfect. Never enough space. But the thing is, waiting for “someone else” to do it never works. We are the someone else.

So, things started imperfectly. Still much to be improved, as there always will be. God put a vision on our hearts, we made the decision to start the 501c3, and so it began. Building Kitty Kabins by hand, keeping animals in rooms, praying for fosters, and just DOING- even when we didn’t know what. Faith’s husband, Chase Mackey, refers to himself as “supporting cast” but is the mastermind behind the building of all facilities and basically everything Faith and Cass cannot do.

Our passion is animals that no one is coming for. Abuse, neglect, kill pens, euthanasia list. We are selective in owner surrenders- it needs to be a legitimate reason.

We offer a Haven for all species. From a toad-frog named Jonathan who is missing a limb and struggles to hunt, to neonatal kittens, and all the way to wild mustangs headed for the slaughter pipeline.

Different species. Same mission. One Haven.

The Vision

There are 2 parts to The Lamb’s Haven. There is the sanctuary, a true Haven for animals that will need a place to live permanently. And then there is the rescue. This is where adoption events, barn cat programs. TNR, etc all come in: to get animals into homes, stop the breeding, and KEEP animals off the streets. One way we do this is by offering lifetime post- adoption support, as well as a no- questions- asked return policy for the life of the animal. We literally make it easier to return an animal than find a place to dump it.

We want to be the rescue that says YES the most. That means a lot of land, lots of volunteers, lots of fosters. Funding. We need funding. You see those cases where 50 animals have been hoarded? We want to yes to say yes to all 50. That’s the big goal. For now, we are still on track to reach our goal of 100 adoptions this year. Since January 2026, there have been 37 adoptions until now (June 2). We have over 20 permanent sanctuary residents.

And let’s not forget the people. The Lamb’s Haven is meant to be a safe place for all. For people to come and heal- with animals that have also experienced abuse, trauma, and grief. Where people can hear the Gospel.
